99 days to go

Seriously! We are finally down to 99 days until due date. Yay!!!!! Our daughter has been such a good girl that I wouldn't be surprised if she really were born on the due date but even if she doesn't, this getting under 100 days until due date is HUGE!

So am I, too. I'm actually contemplating on getting a t-shirt which would say:

Yes
I'm pregnant.

No
the due date is not in January
but in late March!

Another idea for t-shirt I've had is:

Do you really want to mess with a pregnant woman?¨

Or, if you want to get more scientific:

There's approximately a 100 times more estrogen in this body.
Are you sure you want to mess with me?

After the baby is born I hope that my body will do what it is supposed to and then a t-shirt that I'd really like would state what I found in Facebook, which is:

I make milk.
What's your superpower?

What has been great during these past weeks is that - says the materialist in me - we got a lovely huge box of gifts from the US from my Mom and Dad and Sis there (I stayed with them back in 1986 as an exchange student) . We got a new photo of the whole family Mom, Dad, their two daughters, Cari's husband and their three boys. The boys are so big and handsome now! Sigh :). My favourite was a pot which is made of Missouri clay and has Native American symbols on it. Missouri runs through South Dakota and I stayed in Pierre which in on the banks of the river so it is very special to get pottery made out of clay from there.

Last weekend there was a baby shower for one of our congregation members who is due in just a few weeks - or so I thought! It turns out it was a baby shower for all four of us who are expecting. The very best part was a small book that was filled by blessings by the others who attended the baby shower. Ruth had even asked Husband to write something for me and it was absolutely wonderful. Incidentally, Husband says that I am nowadays like an old Karelian grandma who starts crying about anything nice and sweet. He's right, too, I do. We have both been blessed with Karelian grandmas so we know how they are :). Both were wonderful women and admittedly cried easily - which as such, I see as a great blessing anyway.

But coming back to the baby shower. We also got gifts and I am so pleased that our baby now has brand new clothes, too. We've been blessed with a huge box of second hand baby clothes from Husband's colleague and the really are great! However, it is nice to have something new, too. Something that has been bought just for this one. So, thank you so much Ruth, Lorna, Leigh Ann and all the rest of you for doing this for all of us. It was such a treat!

By the way, it is the most heart warming sight to see my teddy bear like husband handle the little tiny baby clothes. And the Karelian granny in me gets tears in her eyes as she writes this :).

Wishing you the best for you and your baby!
