Eight months today

Firstly, here's our 8 month old girl waiting for her afternoon snack and playing with her duplos :).

There is nothing more adorable than the curve of my daughter's neck and the curve of her chubby cheeks as she concentrates on whatever it is that she finds fascinating.

This is our winter girl yesterday as we were headed to church.

Brace yourselves if you're reading this and are hungry! Last year some of the members of my congregation suggested that we celebrate Thanksgiving a couple of days later on the Sunday of Thanksgiving week. We happened to have a family service that Sunday which ment that we were going to be in St. Henry's which has a proper kitchen unlike - although understandibly - the Cathedral. So we did and it was wonderful AND I had pumpkin pie for the first time in years and years :).
This year we celebrated 1st Advent and Thanksgiving and a British-American couple had been at the church (this time Aurelia) to prepare a turkey all day. It was brilliant and I was very displeased with myself to not have understood to thank them especially. If you're reading this R and K THANK YOU on behalf of everyone! The added bonus with this Thanksgiving was that Husband got to taste a lot of things he's never tasted before - albeit, not pumpkin pie this year :).

Our little one spent most of the time eating, too (mommy made mushed broccoli-potato-chicken) and was pretty energized as we got home. She had been sitting on either Husband's or my lap all evening and clearly needed to fill her crawling quota for the day. Before that I snapped a couple of photos of her. I especially like the first one.

Thanks for the thanks ;) and for the photo. We didn't take any pictures, so I've sent a link to this blog to my family so they can see the turkey.

Happy Advent.
