ty666666666 nnnnnnnnn or cat show girl

The title up there is Miri's doing. The cursor on the screen is irresistable and someone went over the keyboard to get to it.
Here's our beauty at her very first cat show held last Saturday. She behaved very well once the initial shock of a huge room subsided (we were at the fair center i.e. messukeskus).
The jugde had said that she is beautiful :). Her owner C presented her so I was there only to observe.
Miri was however not chosen to be one of the best kittens for all judges to then evaluate and this of course incomprehensible to me ;). Seriously, though, I understand nothing of the cat show business but M the other owner told me that cats never win anything in their first show.
As is, we are not going to be able to travel to cat shows with Miri so it'll be a rare treat to be there for her. She'll do most of the travelling and cat shows with the owners and when ever the shows are in Turku then we'll join her.
We love her and I think she is beautiful (Husband remains undecided :)) but if the cat show judges were to disagree we wouldn't be bothered about it. However, for her owners it is important since she is to have kittens in about two years and breeders of course want the very best to ensure beautiful, well rounded and healthy kittens. So, for their sake, because we like them very much, we hope that Miri will do well.
I really like these "tent cages" they now can use in cat shows. The downside is that you can't see the cat as clearly as in a traditional cage but for the cat is is so much more comfortable to be in. Also, the risk of the cat getting infected is much smaller since they are privately owned. A regular cage is of course cleaned every time but still.
Miri's mom, by the way, is at the other end of this duplex :). She isn't a cat show kind of a gal so she spent the entire day under a blanket ignoring the world. Miri, on the other hand, took naps and in between was keen to observe everything around her. Whenever she was taken out she'd purr and smell her surroundings.
