A good holiday

At the beginning of my holiday I slept for the first day - having just gotten back from Holland. After that I wanted to start tearing down wall paper and painting but Husband said: "No." He wanted us to take the first week for us to just be and then start the remodelling stuff the following week. In retrospect he might have been right - don't tell him, though :).
So then, the next two weeks - or was it three? - we did what we Finns call "remontti" i.e. took down the wall papers of our hall to find out that it had been dark olive green, painted it and the closets we have there and then moved on to completely redo our walk-in-closet. It was more work and took more money than we anticipated - doesn't it always? - but it was fun, too, and we are proud as peacocks about our home as it now is. There are a couple of things that still need to be done but those are minor and can be done any given weekend.
After finishing remontti it took a while for us to catch our breath, Husband is in fact still looking a bit pale :). We did, however, go to the beach and saw family and friends and as last week rolled around I found myself thinking I could get back to work again, too.
At the beginning of my holiday I felt like looking for a very good hiding place and never coming out from there again - it had been a very busy spring - but by now I'm really happy to be back. So, I must have had a good holiday :).
