We've seen representatives of the medical profession these past weeks. We're participating in an allergy study so Lotta had a three month check up before Midsummer. After that this past Monday I had to see a doctor because feeding her caused me excruciating pain. I literally cried because of the pain - and admitedly because of worry, too. We now have a diagnosis but the infections on my breasts are not healing quite as well I'd hope.
At least it is not quite as bad as on Monday any more and we do have medicine for it. In addition, apparently lingon berries help so I've used those, too. It's enough to say it gets pretty messy. First cabbage leaves when Lotta had just come home to ease the preassure of milk building up and now lingon berries. What's next? Liver?
Anyhow, the following day Lotta needed to be taken for a blood test - again because of the allergy study. She took it very well but was somewhat stressed by the amount of people involved (we were four). We'd gotten something to numb her arm so it wasn't supposed to hurt but it did seem to do so a bit, although not too much. I'm the one gets very stressed about these things. My baby hurting is the very worst thing in the world.
Then we went to the "neuvola" for her three month check up there. She is, or rather was on Wednesday, 62,3 cm long and weighs 5,45 kg. A lot of her clothes are getting too small for her by now and she is starting to feel pretty heavy when you lift her.
The newest developments are that she has started to have fun making a sound gurgling spit (who wouldn't? :)) and when I make a growling sound to her she responds with the gurgling sound. And we both have so much fun. In fact, she's doing it right now, too, to her daddy. I can hear them in the kitchen. She's started to laugh, too. Oh, and she's learnt to pull down my glasses if they are within reaching distance. Her godmom's glasses fascinated her today, too... I apologize in advance if she ever does that to you. It's my fault I kind of encouraged her to do so... I didn't mean to, honest, it was just that when she was just learning to reach out and touch things my glasses were kind of interestng to her, too. And then the first thing she really ever grabbed and held were my glasses and I thought it was such a huge developmental jump that I got really excited for her and she picked it up.
