Husband is on summer holiday now and it's taken us the past weeks to get used to a new rythm now that he's at home. Hence, I haven't written in a while. The second thing is that the heat wave compeletely wiped me out. I have to admit - reluctantly - that I'm getting to a stage - I refuse to use the word age - where I just don't like it so hot any more. The fact that it is in fact raining right now fills me with pleasure rather than annoyance.
Our daughter still refuses to sleep in the pram if it is not moving (with one exception which was when we were visiting grandma and grandpa, THEN she slept for almost three ours in it). It used to be that when she was put in there she'd fall asleep immediately - provided the pram was moving. As you can see from the photos she's now found the top of her pram and finds it utterly facinating. I've peaked in there and can't see the fasination but she looks adorable with her big wide eyes and o-shaped mouth.
The latest developments include making a variety on new noises (some of them VERY loud), trying to turn over to her tummy (and getting frustrated when it doesn't quite yet work), being able to hit a toy with her right fist which hangs down from a frame on her play mat (the left one is not quite as co-operative), being able to hit her play giraffe so that it falls down on it's side (and this is with the left hand), eating less often but more at a time, sleeping longer periods of time but also staying up for longer periods of time and on rare but precious occasions laughing out loud :) (the first time was when she was fast a sleep).
Lotta mastered smiling about a month ago and the great thing is that we get to see it often. There is absolutely nothing more adorable in the world than her smile. It doesn't matter how tired you are, you just have to smile back. There's just that something special in a baby's toothless smile. Nowadays one of her favourite things is to try to jam both of her fists into her mouth which somewhat cramps her style, though. Oh, and the most distinctive part of her is still her hair which doesn't show in these particular photos. It just keeps on growing and it grows straight up so it looks pretty hilarious :).

Fists in the mouth? That's first signs of teething! :)
