The child loves remote controls. Specifically the one that operates the digi box and is the only one that is really needed. Her love cost us 50€ because what she loves she must throw around and the poor first remote broke down.
The standing thing. Little girl's been practising for a week or so and now it seems she's got it. Today she got up to stand leaning on the couch all on her own. A big girl!
I'm affraid that it seems she is going to skip crawling alltogether and skip to running since scooting apparently works so well . But we'll see. The thing is that standing up seems to actually be the less important thing. What she's been trying to do is to climb on to the couch - to get the remote controls. It just naturally followed from there that she realized that she can stand leaning on it, too. On the other hand, she does try getting up everywhere she can. Mostly it's her bum that's up towards the heavens but other parts don't quite follow :).

Yes, what is it about remote controls? We let the baby play with the CD-player remote and she is not at all interested in it. But the digi-box clicker is the thing! She would crawl literally over us to get to that control.
It was extremely interesting for me to read this post. Thanx for it. I like such topics and anything that is connected to this matter. I definitely want to read more soon.
