The very best part about our new home is the garden. I LOOOOVE gardening. I have no knowledge about what I'm supposed to do but it is yet to stop me in the least bit :). The annoying thing is that since I'm married to a farmer's son at times when I've just learnt something valuable about gardening and go tell him about it all excited he says: "Why, yes, of course, didn't you know that?" So, I'm learning to ask him first.
The thing with this spring is that it's still cold. The days are warmish but the nights, oh the nights, them's very cold. And I really, really, really want to get to planting!
I had, well I still do, pumpkins ready to be planted but it isn't time yet. I had to cut them because they were getting so big and now the new leaves look miserably small. Some of the herbs have now been planted in pots that are on our kitchen table since they really needed more soil. They look pretty neat. I'm very proud of my basil :).
I have tons of different flower seeds and seeds for my kitchen garden. The only thing is that Lotta's play house needs to be moved first. We donated it to be put in our common playground. Lotta will have it to play in but so will our neighbours' kids. We want it away from our garden because it is so close to our wall that Husband worries it prevents the winds from drying to walls.Anyway my lettuces, carrots, beans, peas etc. will be planted in planting boxes which will come where the play house now is.
Today I spent our time outside hitting, yes, hitting, the ground with a rake. We have more moss than grass and the way to help the grass grow is to "air" the ground. I did not know that before either. It was kind of fun and also good excercise which I'm not getting too much at the moment because of my ankle.
I'm off to the doctor's tomorrow and hopefully they will finally take an x-ray of it and check what's up. It was really sore yesterday but today has been a good day again. The day before yesterday I did some floor excercising - meaning I was on my back or sitting - and apparently even that is too much for it. Can you believe it? I couldn't, except of course that I had to limp when I got up. It didn't hurt when I was doing the excercises - I may be stubborn but I'm not that stubborn that I'd continue doing something if I'm hurting - but right after it REALLY did.
Weight wise the cast and the stress of it all bounced me back a kilo but I'm now finally on the roll again and if all goes like it should within a week I should be 7 kilos lighter than I was when I started. Up till today I've lost 6,6 kilos. Not a lot but I am now lighter than I was when I got pregnant and that's really great.

For some reason I'm not able to include photos to this post. I'll try a new post but might be Picasa or blogspot or our pc are not in the mood for photos today. Pity, if it's so, because I think little girl looks particularily cute :). By the way, she is napping!!!!! YAY! She didn't yesterday but she did on two days in a row before that. There's hope.
