After all of the drama of the weekend the two us - or possibly all three of us - are a bit exhausted. We are very blessed in that the timing has been exactly this since Husband has Fall Holiday from school all of this week and I get to be off work until next Tuesday, too.
Exactly a year ago we were preparing for our wedding and this coming Sunday is then our very first wedding anniversary.I haven't been able to wear my engagement ring and wedding band for a while because of junior but I do wear the rings around my neck on a necklace. I do miss having them on my ring finger, though :). I haven't been married long enough not to be in love with my wedding band anymore.
In a couple of hours we leave to take a mini cruise to Stockholm and back. Husband goes around excited like a little boy to be getting on a very big boat. I'm perhaps not quite as excited but I'm pleased to be going on the ferry since it'll be a lovely break from everthing AND the food is both made by someone else and usually very good. The only problem is that my favourite part of the ferry's buffet is the fish section and most of it I'm not allowed to eat because of junior. Oh, well in the big scheme of things this is really very unimportant. The main thing is to get to be together and take it easy.
By the way we've found a pram for the baby, too. So the BIG SEARCH is over - and went very smoothly I might add - and now we only need to go and get it reserved for us. It's great that you can just reserve it and then go and get it when the baby has been born.
So, this is us for now. We'll be back already tomorrow but I'll be writing again, I think, sometime next week.

You are not allowed to eat fish?!
Yes, I remember this from my pregnancy with Anniina, that my neuvolatäti gave me a five minutes talk about which fish species I am allowed to eat and which not. It seems you have to have a whole biology study behind you to be able to do the correct thing. But because I have ;-) I decided that most of it is nonsense.
Especially this time I could not survive without eating fish. Lots of fish. While Anniina was demanding potatoes, rice and tons of fruits, the little one this time likes fish, fish, fish and tons of fruits. We should take a cruise, too! ;-)
Love,
Karen
P.S. We were glad to hear about your decision concerning the amniocentesis. I can't say for sure but probably I would have decided in the same way. And remember, that's all only statistics - and I know about statistics, too, not only about fish ;-)
I haven't been married long enough not to be in love with my wedding band anymore either and it will be 20 years next May :)
