Oak grove (Tammilehto)When you enter the main building of the Tammilehto Retreat center this is what you first see to your left. Your keys to your room will be on this table. And in your room a little vase with flowers and a candle are waiting for you there.
The other rooms in the main building : the chapel (and Matu's guitar),
the little library area and the dining room.
The yellow building is the main building and the red building houses 10 rooms and there is another one just like it a bit behind this one on a hill. This being Finland there's also a great, great sauna and a room with a fireplace right beside it (that's the third photo).

I feel like a travel agent describing this but it really is a wonderful place to go to a silent retreat. It just doesn't get better than this.
In addition, we were greatly blessed by one of the most rare of occasions in November; a day of sunshine and a night of full moon both. November has a curious beauty about it, don't you agree?
