Yesterday morning :). We were really pleased that little girl liked all her gifts so much and especially the etch-a-sketch.
This is how the cake turned out. Two of our guests praised it's taste so, my little baker's heart was extremely happy :). Most importantly birthday girl herself liked it very much.
I was right about the whiskers and we did end up with wobbly letters but Hello Kitty turned out ok if you didn't look at it too closely. One lesson I learnt was that the decoration can and should be thinner - there where some parts of the cake where there were three layers of marzipan! Also, you need to put baking sheet under it to be able to pry it of the plate if you make it in advance.
Together with daddy little girl had assembled her tricycle in the morning and once the party was over it was time to check it out again. It's a big hit :).
Little girl received really cool gifts from her friends, too. We were very pleased that every single one of those who were invited to her party could come. When the age range of children is between one and five it's nothing close to a miracle that all were well, parents included.
Thank you all, families L, F, N and H, for coming and making little girl's day really special!
Little girl's actual birthday is on April Fool's which this year is also Maundy Thursday. We were pretty sure that little girl's friends and their families have plans for Easter so that's why her party was already yesterday.
Ps. The amount of outfits is explained by the fact that first it was morning and, the clever mommy I am, she wore what she'd worn the day before. Then she wore the Hello Kitty dress for the party (thank you godmom M). However, there were chocolate eggs and an easter egg hunt...

I really enjoyed the two blogs regarding Lotta's BD! Your cake was beautiful! It looks like everything was a huge success! I'm glad everyone could come. I know Lotta was one happy two year old!
