What's up?

Let's see. Well, there's snow. A lot of it :). BUT as has been pointed out to me the days are indeed much longer and the birds are certainly singing. And today the sun is shining really beautifully.
What else, yes, diagnosis nr 2. It's over active bladder syndrome. Although I'm not as convinced as the doctor - mainly because I have a problem in the morning hours - until around noon or so - and from there on I'm fine until the next morning. But I'm not about to argue my case right now since I'm also in the process of loosing weight and guess how it leaves your system. Yep, you got it.
Since the beginning of February I've lost 4,4 kilos and I'm proud of every 100 grams I've lost. It's quite a bit of work but not at all as difficult as I imagined it would be. At the moment my weight isn't going anywhere, for hormonal reasons, I think. We'll see at the end of the week how things turn.
The really wonderful thing is that Geraldine has behaved really well ever since I started dieting. This, of course, proves that I needed - and need - to loose weight in order to feel better. It also makes it easier to do so. Geraldine keeps me very motivated and also if I do eat something less healthy she'll tell me off immeadiately. Not fun, but certainly effective.
At the moment Husband has given me strict orders to not work out on our crosstrainer. My left ankle has been sore and it's pretty painful for me to walk. Icy roads are especially nasty. I had the same problem - not the icy roads but a swollen painful ankle - the summer I went backpacking around Ireland and I know it just needs a bit of rest and ibuprofein. Come to think of it I used to have problems with that ankle already in my teens when I was a figure skater.
This coming Saturday is little girl's first birthday party and I'm really excited. It'll be a party for families with children and then the following Saturday - a day before Easter - is the party for her godparents and grandparents. For this Saturday I'm going to try to make a Hello Kitty cake but we might end up with a cake which only has - with wobbly letters - her name. I have at the moment tons of marzipan to practice with. But I'm affraid it's the black lines around Hello Kitty's face and her whiskers that are going to be my ruin. No matter what, though, I'll take a photo :).
