Wow. When I started writing this blog I had no idea how much or little I'd be inclined to write. And, then when I started maternity leave I wasn't quite sure what I should do now since initially this blog was created to support the work I do. And here we are now. This is the 90th entry since last spring when I started the blog and it has become an important part of my more private life as much as it was an important part of my work.
Baby girl is sleeping in the sling leaning on my chest as I write this (not the most comfortable position for me since I actually have to hold my back straight!!! ;)) Sunday we went to the family service and she received her very first church blessing from Mother Outi :).
I felt there was a nice symmetry about going to the family service since the last time there was one she was still in my tummy and was actually born just two days later. Now it was our very first time to church and it was nice to return to St. Henry's and to a service that is aimed at families and children. It was so great to see new children in the service and of course to see almost everbody.
As I was walking towards the church entrance the door opened for us and we got three big welcoming smiles from the family of the fourth of the babies the congregation has been waiting for. His/her due date is in two weeks. I felt so incredibly welcome! Mäusekleinkind and Mäusekleinkind's Muter and Vater may you be very very blessed these coming weeks when everything changes again to something new and amazing with the birth of your second child.
