Just a quick update. We're all doing well :). Not sleeping quite enough - except for Lotta - but otherwise we're ok. Lotta is today three weeks old and has started to have a bit of tummy problems in the evenings. Up till now it's been an hour's ordeal these past three evenings. She is hungry and wants to eat but then when her tummy rumbles she gets frustrated and we go from trying to rock, pat, stroke, sing, moan, cry ... with her to then trying again with the feeding. After the hour or so her tummy seems to settle down and then things are calm again.
Lotta is such a calm baby that at least I'm a bit shell shocked at the moment with her restlesness but we're learning to live with that, too. However, the days seem to be way too short for everything and one of the things then is that I don't seem to find a time to blog quite as often as I'd like. Our morning program seems to go on until noon and then during the couple of hours she sleeps the longest we try to get to the store or go for a walk. Then it is time for the evening program i.e. eating every hour or so, socializing and taking short naps until it's time to go to sleep around ten or eleven. She sleeps around four hours and then it's time to eat again. We have it very easy, I know, but I do seem to spend most of the day either feeding her, changing her or trying to get her to sleep.
Husband said to me yesterday that I'm a tough mama :) and when I asked what he ment he said that he thought that being a mother means being in full alert 24 hours a day and that I was doing a very good job at it. That made me really proud :). And, for the record, he is doing a very, very good job at being a daddy, too.
For some reason I'm not able to attach photos to this entry today but I can tell of the screen that we no longer have a table in our living room. The space has been taken by Lotta's new Fisher Price play mat :) which we got for her today. It's a huge hit with her.
