Computing problems

I should have realized that spam and viruses can affect blogs too, but it did come as a surprise today to find that there was a comment to my latest entry with a link that was in fact a virus. So, I'm now having to do the same as most other bloggers ie I'm going to have to start monitoring comments. I haven't wanted to do that before since there hasn't been any need to but apparently the blog is now old enough to have become something that hacker engines have registered.

I ended up deleting the entry since I couldn't figure out how to delete the comment (despite instructions a trash can icon was never to be found for deleting the comment). As Husband pointed out we don't want anyone else getting the virus from my blog so better to just erase the whole entry. Photos that I'd added were saved but it'll take up to 24 hours for them to be restored on the blog.

Lotta had had her first bath today and she'd loved it :) so I wanted to share that. In addition, we went for a walk - just the two of us - and had a marvellous time in the woods beside our home. The photos are from that walk. Husband stayed at home to cook :).

Ps. The lesson to be learnt is that if you get a comment from an unknown person (it wasn't anonymous but a blogger name) with nothing else than check here or you should check this out and a link attached to it then it's probably not a good idea to do so! In our case the link was a so called virus prevention program i.e. it starts checking your hard drive - although you've said no to doing so - and then reveals that you have a worm and a couple of viruses on you computer and they'll destroy your pc unless you let the program erase them. Crafty, eh?
