If you've been wondering where I've been this is where. Our work team (32 people) took a spring trip to Copenhagen this past week. We got back at 4 am on Saturday morning. So, that was Saturday. Sunday I met with a lovely Finnish Canadian couple who will be getting married at the end of August. I get to be the minster who will be blessing their marriage here in Finland in October. God of course doing the blessing and me asking for Him to do so. Yesterday I had a seminar in Helsinki and left at 6.44 in the morning to return at 20.00 in the evening. The train was an hour late and it was 30C in it because something or the other was not working properly. Not the most comfortable way of getting home really. We had a lovely time in Copenhagen and the trip fullfilled it's purpose in that we got to know each other much better. We have quite a few new people who've just joined our team. Our two man one woman team who do chaplaincy work in the different schools here in Turku had a chance to spend time together, too. It's great to be working with these two men. They're fun and wise and weird in lovely ways :). We have a good combination of both similairities and differences in our personalities and in our way of working that make for a good team. It's good to have them around. Most of the time we all do our work quite independently simply because we do have different tasks but it is good to know that you have people around you who know your specific area of work and can relate. And when things suck - and they sometimes do - you can trust that they'll sympathize.

sounds great and team work is important - even if you all do different parts to make up the whole. Actually I think that's how it's supposed to be :)
blessings from Tallinn
I was wondering where you went =)
Glad to hear "denmark" had something new to offer...

Hey I read yesterday that the Danes are the happiest nation in Europe and Finns second. any comment?
I heard the same thing Monday. At least Copenhagen is really cool and I guess the difference would be that the Danes certainly seem to know how to enjoy life without going overboard. Interestingly Danes are not the healthiest nation at all but they still are the happiest. Maybe there's a lesson there to learn :)...
