It went great!

So, the panel. Thank you for asking it was great :). The three other panelists were really interesting and as relaxed as you can be in front of about 50 pairs of inquisitive eyes. I've never in my life been as nervous as when I was waiting to answer the first question but although my heart was about to jump out and run I sat still and survived.

The questions were well thought and it felt like an encounter of different faiths like it was supposed to be. It did feel odd to be the representative of the church and religion that is the leading one. All others represented very small religious groups and two of the three came from an Evengelical Lutheran background - in this country the more suprising fact was that the third one did not, though.

The audience seemed to find the panel interesting which is really great and the organizers - the name of the group is Nirvana :) - were very pleased with the outcome.

My favourite moment came when one of the students hugged me and said that she thought that I am absolutely in the right profession - can you say it like that in English, I wonder? I've heard that a couple of times before and it always is the best complement you can get. I mean after all that is what we want isn't it? To be both good at and well suited for the work we do.
