Four days after the due date

I think I may be getting over the cold since I had the strength to undertake baking today :). I've been wanting to bake "pulla" all week so that we'd have something in the freezer when friends and family visit (I foresee quite a bit of socializing in the near future). Here's today's batch. On the left side your ordinary pulla - without cardamom since I'm allergic - and on the right side pulla with quark and raisins which I love.

Today's big news is the snow storm that started during the night and is still going strong. Highways are jammed because of car accidents. God willing there will not be more fatalities (there's been one today). Cars are replacable but people aren't.

Since Husband had used all our eggs yesterday (he had a craving for boiled eggs of all things) I've actually been out there to go to the store and it was indeed really windy. I loved it!

The two following photos are from our balcony, which mind you is not an open one but covered with glass windows...

Since the baby carriage currently resides there (the smell of the brand new rubber tires was too much for me) I took a photo of it, too. We finally picked it up the weekend before last and to our joy it fit in the elevetor with Husband or me! We'd taken measures of course but neither of us really trusted that we'd be able to fit in as well. Not all three of us can be packed in there at the same time but as we live in the 8th floor the main issue was that we can get it up here with the baby in it and one of us with her.

The blue color, by the way, was not chosen because we were expecting a boy - and I was for the first 20 weeks - but because I wanted a red baby carriage and Husband wanted either orange or green... ie. we compromised :).
